On April 13, the energy decree was approved (legislative decree 17/2022), which brings various innovations to the PV market. Among these, the Solar Belt, the establishment of areas in which the PV on the ground will follow by default facilitated authorization procedures, it will also be possible to make self-consumption with plants up to 10 km away. There are so many other and important changes that will make PV development much easier and not just on the ground. On the roof, in fact, no more permits, authorizations or administrative acts of consent, however named, will be needed for the installation, in any way, of solar photovoltaic and thermal systems on buildings. The same will apply to systems on structures and structures above ground other than buildings, including those already existing within ski areas and for the construction of all works for connection to the electricity grid, including any upgrades and adjustments to the network, external to the areas of these buildings. An exception will be made for systems installed in areas or buildings identified by a specific administrative provision as being of considerable public interest, in this case the installation is permitted subject to authorization by the competent administration, pursuant to the cultural and landscape heritage code.
